Finding Clarity: A Personal Journey with Glasses and Faith

So I just picked up my glasses this week. I’d seen the eye doctor last week, and it turns out my vision had gotten bad and I didn’t even realize how bad it was.

When I put on the glasses… oh my goodness.

Everything was so clear. The world suddenly had sharper edges, brighter colours, and even small details I didn’t realize I was missing.

At that moment, all I could think of was the man in the Bible who was born blind and whom Jesus healed.

He was blind, begging by the roadside. When he heard Jesus was passing by, he started shouting “Jesus, have mercy on me!

People told him to be quiet. But he shouted LOUDER.

Jesus stopped. Asked what he wanted. Bartimaeus said “I want to see.

And Jesus healed him. Right there.

Imagine that moment:

• Going from complete darkness to seeing faces for the first time

• Colours bursting into view

• The sky, the trees, people’s expressions

• Everything NEW

Sometimes we don’t even realize how blurry our vision has become; spiritually, emotionally.

We adjust to the blur. We get used to it.

But when God brings clarity? When He opens your eyes to see things as they really are?

It changes everything.

So here’s my question for you: What are you asking God to help you see clearly today?

Maybe it’s:

• A relationship you’ve been viewing through the wrong lens

• A situation that needs fresh perspective

• Your own worth and identity in Christ

• The next step He’s been showing you, but you couldn’t quite see it

I pray the Lord helps us see what we’ve been missing.

I pray He gives us clarity where there’s been confusion.

I pray HE helps us see His truth, His love, and His purpose clearly.
