Stop Waiting: Leverage Your Existing Skills Today

There’s this man named Shamgar. Gets ONE VERSE in the entire Bible. Judges 3:31.

Israel’s being oppressed by the Philistines. They need deliverance.

Shamgar doesn’t have a sword. Doesn’t have an army. Doesn’t even have proper weapons.

What does he have? An ox goad. Basically a sharp stick used for poking cattle.

And with THAT? He defeats 600 Philistine warriors. Solo.

One verse. One tool. Six hundred enemies down.

I spent years thinking I need more resources before I could talk about faith on the internet space. Then I looked at what was already in my hand; the ability to write, to encourage, to share what God was teaching me. It fells small. But I’ve started using it anyway. And I’m watching God do things with this “ox goad” I never could have imagined.

I’m learning that God doesn’t bless what you don’t have. He blesses what you USE. The ox goad only mattered because Shamgar picked it up.

HERE’S WHAT THIS TAUGHT ME:

Stop waiting for:

• The ‘right’ resources

• The ‘perfect’ opportunity

• The ‘better’ circumstances

• The bigger platform

God doesn’t need you to have everything. He needs you to use what you already have.

What’s the ox goad in your hand right now?

That skill you think is too small?

That platform you think is too little?

That idea you think won’t work?

Use it. God can do a lot with a little.

I pray the Lord helps us see what’s already in our hands and gives us the courage to use what we have, instead of waiting for what we don’t.
